Install the phone base
Follow the figures below to install the phone base of operations as shown below:

Note: Use only the ability adapter and bombardment supplied with this VTech telephone. For consummate feature instructions, please refer to your user's manual.
Battery installation and charging
Battery installation and charging Install the battery as shown beneath. After installing the battery, you might be able to make and receive brusk calls. For all-time performance, charge the handset battery for at least 16 hours before use.
- If the battery compartment comprehend is on the handset, press the indentation and slide the encompass to remove.
- Plug the battery connector securely into the socket inside the handset battery compartment, matching the color-coded characterization.
- Place the battery with the characterization THIS SIDE UP facing up and the wires inside the battery compartment.
- Align the cover flat against the battery compartment, then slide it towards the center of the handset until it clicks into place.

Press LINE 1 or LINE 2 to answer.
Stop a telephone call
Press LINE 1 or LINE ii.
Turn the answering system on or off
You lot must plow on the answering system for answering and recording messages.
To turn on or off with the telephone base of operations:
- Press /ON/OFF LINE 1 and/or/ON/OFF LINE 2 to plow on the respective answering system. The telephone base announces and shows, "Calls will be answered." The /ON/OFF LINE 1 calorie-free and/or /ON/OFF LINE ii light will be on respectively.
- Printing /ON/OFF LINE 1 and/or /ON/OFF LINE 2 to plow off the corresponding answering system. The phone base announces and shows, "Calls will not be answered." The /ON/OFF LINE 1 light and/or /ON/OFF LINE 2 low-cal will be off respectively.
To turn on or off with a handset:
- Press the MENU softkey when the handset is not in utilise.
- Press the SELECT softkey to select ANSWERING SYS.
- Press or to select Mailbox ane or Mailbox ii, and so press the SELECT softkey. The corresponding icon, or , flashes on the screen.
- Press or to select Ans sys setup, so printing the SELECT softkey.
- Press orto select Reply ON/OFF, then press the SELECT softkey.
- Press or to select On or Off, then press the Set up softkey to confirm your setting or press the Dorsum softkey to exit to the previous carte du jour without making any changes.
- The screen displaysorwhen the answering system of line one or line 2 is turned on respectively. The screen displays when the answering systems of both lines 1 and 2 are turned on.
Outgoing declaration
The telephone is preset with a greeting that answers calls with "How-do-you-do, please get out a message after the tone." You may apply this preset announcement, or replace it with your ain.
Employ the phone base to record your own proclamation:
- Press •/REC while the telephone base is not in use.
- Press /CID or/DIR to select Announcement, then press the SELECT softkey.
- Press/CID or/DIR to select Mailbox 1 or Mailbox 2, then press the SELECT softkey. The corresponding icon, or flashes on the screen.

- Printing the SELECT softkey to select ANSWERING SYS.
- Printing or to select Mailbox i or Mailbox 2, so printing the SELECT softkey. The corresponding icon, or flashes on the screen.
- Printing or to select Ans sys setup, and so press the SELECT softkey.
- Press orto select Proclamation, then press the SELECT softkey.
- The handset announces, "To play, press two. To record, press vii." Press 7 to tape and the screen shows Recording announcement…, or press the Dorsum softkey to go out to the previous menu.
- The handset announces, "Tape after the tone. Press v when you are washed." Afterward the tone, speak towards the microphone of the handset.
- Printing v or the End softkey when finished recording.
- The answering organisation automatically plays back the newly recorded announcement. Press 5 to stop the playback at whatsoever time; ii to replay the recorded announcement; or 7 to record over again if desired.
- Printing the BACK softkey to get out to the previous carte du jour.
To play messages with the telephone base of operations:
Press/MAILBOX LINE one for line ane or /MAILBOX LINE ii for line 2 to listen to messages.
Options during playback:
To play letters with a handset:
- Press the MENU softkey when the handset is not in utilise.
- Press the SELECT softkey to select ANSWERING SYS.
- Press or to select Mailbox ane or Mailbox 2. Press the SELECT softkey.
- Press or to select Play messages, then press the SELECT softkey.
Options during playback:- Printing to adapt the speaker book.
- Press 6 to skip to the next message.
- Press 4 to repeat the message currently playing. Press four twice to heed to the previous message.
- Press 3 to delete the current bulletin. The system advances to the next message.
- Press five to terminate.
- Press the Back softkey to exit to the previous menu.
